Helping prevent suicides among adolescents
in Sri Lanka traumatised by the 2004 tsunami

SnakTastik are supporting Eddi Piper’s two-year project in Sri Lanka. She has 30 years experience of developing techniques to prevent adolescent suicide prevention. These technique work and are proven to do so.

When the waves struck, 70% of those killed were girls and women. Children who survived the tsunami are now adolescent and many are finding life without most of their female relatives impossible. The suicide rate has become a serious concern.

Eddi has the support of the local charities and the medical services and is funding this project herself. She only need about £22,000 for the two year project... If this was a government funded programme that would just abut pay the UK office costs.
